AURORA II CORE: External Heat Pump Unit
Key Features
The Aurora II Core is engineered exclusively for space heating. As a dedicated external unit, it never diverts capacity to hot water production which eliminates switching cycles and maintaining consistent radiator and underfloor temperatures throughout the day. The core delivers outstanding seasonal efficiency in smaller and well-insulated homes which translates into lower running costs and dependable year-round performance.
Operating with whisper-quiet performance without compromising output, it is suitable for residential settings where noise matters. Whilst compact, fully modulating, and built with durability in mind, the Aurora II Core is engineered for reliable performance over the long term without compromise even in demanding winter conditions.
Smart Controls & Intelligent Optimisation
Fully integrated with the Adlår smart controls, the Aurora II Core uses intelligent weather-compensated heat curves to automatically adjust flow temperatures in response to outdoor conditions. Rather than reacting in short, high-intensity bursts like a traditional boiler, the system maintains steady, low-temperature operation to maximise efficiency while reducing mechanical strain.
With full WiFi connectivity and smart control automation, performance remains predictable, controllable, and optimised around your energy usage to help reduce running costs without sacrificing comfort. The result is precise, balanced heating that operates quietly in the background that’s intelligently optimised rather than pushed to its limits.
The Adlår Dual Heating System
Aurora II External Unit
4 kW dedicated space heating unit with fully modulating inverter control, A+++ energy class performance, Mitsubishi compressor technology, and ultra-low acoustic output. Designed for compact installations and smaller heat loads.
Fjord Heat Pump Cylinder
Independent hot water production via integrated heat pump technology. By separating hot water demand from space heating, overall system stability and efficiency are maintained year-round. In summer, the external Aurora II Core unit can be switched off entirely when only hot water is required.
Adlår Control Box
Centralised hydraulic and performance management system designed to minimise system losses, reduce component complexity, and ensure optimal flow temperature regulation.
Adlår Smart App
Real-time monitoring, heat curve optimisation, system status visibility, and remote configuration. Designed to protect performance, not complicate it.

Any additional works are confirmed following your site survey and heat-loss results.
Frequently asked questions
No. The Aurora II Core is dedicated solely to space heating. Hot water is provided independently by the Fjord heat pump cylinder.
It allows each system to run at optimal temperatures, improving comfort, efficiency, and long-term reliability.
Many well-insulated or smaller homes run efficiently on 4 kW. We carry out a full heat-loss assessment to confirm the correct sizing.
Just 42 dB(A) at one metre — quieter than most household appliances.
Most installations are completed within 1–2 days by our in-house engineers.
