FAQ's
The current government funding only has funding to cover 90,000 homes. Make sure you take advantage of the £7,500 BUS Scheme now. £7,500 represents roughly 90~80% of the cost of your install.
Apply for the Boiler Upgrade Scheme: Check if you’re eligible – GOV.UK (www.gov.uk)
You’re eligible for a grant if all the following are true. You must:
- own the property you’re applying for (including if it’s a business, a second home, or a property you rent out to tenants)
- have installed (or plan to install) your new heating system on or after 1 April 2022
- be replacing fossil fuel heating systems (such as oil, gas or electric)
You’re still eligible if you’ve already had funding to make your property more energy efficient, for example by insulating it.
You must have an up-to-date EPC Certificate in order to get the grant.
You must have property rights to outdoor space at your property either on the:
- Ground floor (1m away from the property boundary);
- Wall space (on the ground floor if it will face a public highway, or any suitable wall facing away from a public highway);
- Flat roof (with 1m space to the edge of the roof) to place the pump?
*Dimensions required: 1,100 * 445 * 850 (L*D*H)
We recommend you check with the following parties before installing your ASHP
- The property owner
- Your mortgage provider
- Your mortgage provider may subsidise the cost of installation for you.
- Insurance provider
- Local planning authorities if your property falls under either of these categories:
- Listed building
- Conservation area
Pricing for smaller properties starts below £1,000 making Adlår one, if not the most, competitive companies in the market.
We achieve this through our direct from the installer model and through an optimised installation process.
Our standard installation package has a few assumptions. Additional works are quoted during your site survey. The assumptions are as follows:
- Ground mounted
- Cylinder in location with hot and cold feeds and easy fixing of pressure release pipework
- No radiator or emitter upgrades
- >5m of pipework from heat pump to flow and return
CUSTOMER REVIEW:
61% consumption reduction
1.68kWh Peak with AURORA II from 4.29kWh peak with competing brand in a single heat pump system setup.
“Considering the large temperature differences between the test dates the reduction in consumption could likely be up to 100%. Making a huge difference to their energy costs throughout the year. To compare with a gas boiler. The average per unit of gas price is 6.89p per kWh. A 24kW boiler for an average house of this size with 10 radiators you would expect to pay ~£1.65 an hour. Like for like, 24 hour gas heating therefore would have cost £39.60, using these assumptions. In reality, a gas boiler would turn OFF and ON, so this is a high assumption. If the gas boiler was only ON 6 hours a day the charge would have been £9.90, a £4.22 saving per day.”

There are some big thermodynamic advantages to a dual heat pump system which maximise the characteristics of heat pumps. The results are much lower energy consumption and costs. To deep dive into the technical aspects click on the link button below.
- Two Temperatures Heated Separately
- Hot water from indoor air inlet
- Reduce need for maximum power
- No low-loss header losses
- No losses in pipework
- Direct to your emitters
- Less moving parts
