Our outdoor unit is very similar to other companies. The core difference is that it is only focused on your heating, and doesn’t need to divert off to do your hot water heating.

Our cylinder is a heat pump. Unlike others it isn’t connected to the outdoor unit. This gives you a lot more flexibility and control over your hot water, and never at the cost of your heating.

EFFICIENCY GAINS:

There are some big thermodynamic advantages to a dual heat pump system. A dual heat pump maximises the core efficiency concept of heat pumps, namely they are super efficient when working slow and steady. Superior Comfort

Unlike most heat pump systems, and heating systems in general, you either have hot water or heating. With Adlår’s dual heat pump system you always have both.

Our cylinders are equiped with an Electric Anode which neutralised harmful content in your water. We also have optional upgrades to add a salt free water softener.

When you only need hot water, and not heating, your outdoor unit can be turned off, just at the time you are actually likely to be in your garden.

By installing an Adlår system you gain peace of mind that you are installing a system which brings superior performance and lower bills.

Higher Efficiency

Our hot water cylinder heat pump draws air from your internal air temperature, the test standard for this is 15°C/20°C dry/wet temperatures, rather than ~2°C for an SCOP calculation. Meaning we get a COP value of 380% at 50°C.

We have designed an inline system. This removes the need for a low-loss header tank in the system. These tanks see an average heat loss of 3~5%. This means the heat pump can operate at a lower temperature to achieve the same felt temperature at your radiators or underfloor heating.

Adlår’s heat pumps only use Tier 1 components, with the core components coming from Panasonic and Grundfos, who are consider industry leading suppliers.

As our heat pumps sit outside, they read external temperatures meaning they automatically change their output to keep your home at a constant temperature, rather than you having to adjust it manually.

If you have existing solar, these can be smartly connected to our heat pumps. You can expect to do nearly, if not, all of your summer/sunny weather hot water through a standard solar system.

Dual-heat pumps, means dual-APP control, allowing you maximum control over your temperatures, settings, and efficiencies.

Our in-line heating setup reduces complexity in the system. This reduces the number of high-failure point parts in the system (such as valves and motors), but also reducing the size needed of large internal equipment.

Our cylinders can be equipped with an electric anode, which balances the mineral content of your water by filtering out calcium, extraneous particles, chlorine and heavy metals. The result is an almost neutral pH.

Smarter Function

Our ultra-silent quiet technology allows for a whisper quiet operation. The Aurora II 6-, 10- and 14-kW heat pumps all comply with the (EU) No 813/2013 standard regarding outdoor sound power, measured directly next to the heat pump.

Using a combination of outdoor, indoor, and personal preferences our heat pump actively adjusts temperatures automatically, to keep you at a constant temperature.

The dual-heat pump setup allows both of the heat pumps to work in a set temperature, rather than jumping between temperatures. With our smart APP control, you have ultimate flexibility and control over your settings, where the heat pumps are never over working, but rather maintaining temperature, adjusting only by a degree at a time instead of 10~15 degrees at a time.

Efficiency

In our dual-heat pump system your high temperature hot water is heated from internal air. This allows us to achieve a COP of 380%, an unrivalled level of efficiency in the industry.

With an optimised design flow temperature our heating side can achieve efficiencies over 400%. When the gas-electric factor is ~3x, you can look to achieve a 33% decrease in energy bills if the system is designed right.

By going directly into your emitters and not having 3-port values, and electrically controlled pumps, we reduce system losses by at least 3%~5% compared to traditional boiler setups.

Unique ADLÅR FEATURES

Our ASHP cylinders produce cold air as a by product. In the winter we remove the waste air externally or into a dead space above insulation, but in the summer we can redistribute this cold air into your rooms.

If you have existing solar, these can be smartly connected to our heat pumps. This turns your cylinder into a thermal battery, working 3.8x more efficiently than a Solar iBooster.
